Resigned tennis extraordinary Andy Murray has consented to join Novak Djokovic's group and will mentor him at the Australian Open one year from now, the Serbian 24-times Huge homerun champion said on Saturday.
Briton Murray resigned after the current year's Olympics in Paris where Djokovic won the gold award.
The two 37-year-olds, both previous world number ones, played each other multiple times, with Djokovic winning 25 matches on the ATP Visit.
"We played each other since we were young men, 25 years of being rivals, of stretching each other past our boundaries," Djokovic said.
"We had the absolute most awe-inspiring fights in our game. They called us huge advantages, daring people, history creators. I figured our story might be finished, turns out it has one last section," he said.
"It's the ideal opportunity for one of my hardest rivals to step into my corner. Welcome ready, mentor Andy Murray," the competitor added.
Djokovic has won nine of his 24 Huge homeruns with Goran Ivanisevic as his mentor yet the Croatian left his group in Spring.
"I will join Novak's group in the slow time of year, assisting him with planning for the Australian Open," said Murray, a three-times Huge homerun champ and two times Olympic gold medallist.
"I'm truly invigorated for itself and anticipating investing energy in similar side of the net as Novak for a change, assisting him with accomplishing his objectives," he added.
Djokovic didn't win a significant this year and has slipped to seventh on the planet rankings.
He will focus on a record-expanding eleventh Australian Open crown when the main major of the year starts on January 12.
