A jury at Woolwich Crown Court in southeast London sentenced Anjem Choudary for being the "overseer" head of Al-Muhajiroun (ALM), which was prohibited in the UK in 2010.

The arraignment let the court know that Choudary, 57, from Ilford in east London, took over as head of Al-Muhajiroun while Muhammad was in jail in Lebanon from 2014 to 2023.
Choudary, a previous legal counselor, was imprisoned for five and a half years in 2016 for empowering support for the Daesh psychological militant gathering, and was delivered right on time from jail in 2018.
At his preliminary, he denied welcoming help for ALM during the web-based addresses and asserted the gathering had been disbanded.
