July 20, 2024

NOCs denied after discussion with players, choice advisory group.

PCB stresses responsibility the executives strategy behind its choice.

Says threesome are all-design players expected to play in impending months.

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has affirmed dismissing captain Babar Azam, pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi and wicketkeeper-player Mohammad Rizwan's solicitation for a no-complaint endorsement (NOC) to highlight in the impending association Worldwide T20.

"The PCB had gotten NOC demands from Babar, Rizwan and Shaheen for the Worldwide T20 occasion. Following counsels with the three players as well as the public choice council, it has been chosen to decline their solicitations," the PCB said in an official statement on Friday.

The board's affirmation comes after sources have let Geo News know that the triplet were probably not going to get the PCB's gesture to partake in the said competition which is planned from July 25 to August 11 in Canada.

The sources had said that the PCB wasn't supportive of giving NOCs to all-organize players because of the bustling worldwide timetable.

This has now been affirmed by the board which has said that the choice to dismiss the players' solicitation for the NOCs has been made considering the group's "pressed cricket schedule in the period from August 2024 to Walk 2025, which incorporates nine ICC World Test Title matches and the following year's ICC Champions Prize 2025".

The PCB keeps up with that in accordance with its responsibility the executives strategy, it is to the greatest advantage of Pakistan cricket and the players that they skirt the impending occasion in Canada so they are in their best mental and actual shape for the season, which begins with the two-Test series against Bangladesh.

"The three are all-design cricketers and their administrations are supposed to be expected in the impending eight months during which Pakistan will play nine Tests, 14 ODIs, and nine T20Is," read the PCB's articulation.

The improvement comes days after the cricket body chose not to concede quick bowler Naseem Shah the NOC to play in The Hundred association due to being an all-design player.

Notwithstanding, the board has supported NOCs for Asif Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Amir, and Mohammad Nawaz as they are "overwhelmingly white-ball cricketers", while Iftikhar and Nawaz are halfway contracted players.

It is to be noticed that PCB Director Mohsin Naqvi, recently, had said that it would figure out a specialized cycle to give NOC to the players and the individuals who might satisfy the necessities would be conceded the NOC.
